NURU KINDERGARTEN AND PRE-SCHOOL
Nuru kindergarten and pre-school: started in 2012 September. We started as an integrated academy located at pipeline opposite Kenya builders. Our curriculum was intergrated Montessori/ Decece which has charged to CBC (competence-based curriculum). We faced many challenges child welfare, outreach program and education which hutched Nuru educational Centre.
Nuru Educational Centre: is a project located in pipeline area, Mukuru Kwa njenga slums in Embakasi District Nairobi – Kenya. The Centre school was registered with the ministry of gender social services in 2012. The founder Madam RANAH Ambiyo could not ignore the plight of vulnerable and destitute children in the informal settlement who had lost hope in accessing education due to effects of poverty thus the institution was founded. Nuru educational Centre is an educational institution offering humanitarian assistance and catering for the needs of the poverty stricken children in Embakasi. This is where those children learn to know the value of a family in which they are cared for, loved and educated until such a time they will be able to take care for themselves and their own future families in the society.
The Centre now offers the following;
- Day care
- Pre-school and Primary
- OVC project (Orphans and Vulnerable Children Project)
